I noticed this year that I’ve had an influx of folks coming to my office stating they have a slow computer or their battery isn’t holding a charge anymore. If you have a computer that’s over three years old, it likely came with what’s called a “spinning” drive. Without getting into the details, a spinning drive is a huge bottleneck with the performance of your laptop and you could benefit by having it replaced by a solid-state hard drive.

In many cases, replacing this drive costs only about $100 and will make your computer faster than when you bought it brand new. LawTech also can do these installs in about half a day. Please feel free to email behartless@wlu.edu if you are interested in having your computer upgraded or just have general laptop performance questions.
